Why are logistical processes important for patient safety?

Lorna qualified as a registered nurse at the Royal Free Hospital, London, in 1989 and has over 25 years’ NHS experience. She is an experienced clinical leader with a passion for patient safety and the provision of sensitive, compassionate care and first class nursing practice. Lorna specialised in adult intensive care and progressed through a number of nursing roles in London, before moving into quality and clinical governance. 

In 2004 Lorna relocated to Salisbury as Head of Risk Management where she had a key role to play in the development of a wide range of patient safety initiatives, and was subsequently appointed Deputy Director of Nursing before taking up a similar role in Portsmouth as Deputy Director of Nursing and Patient Safety.
