Dr. Moffatt-Bruce is the Executive Director of University Hospital, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, USA. She is responsible for the operations, finances and infrastructure of the 680 bed flag ship institution that provides quaternary care to Central Ohio. She is also a Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Informatics as well as the Principle Investigator of the federally funded Institute for the Design of Environments Aligned for Patient Safety (IDEA4PS) which is a multi-investigator research enterprise that leverages the learning healthcare system so to improve patient outcomes. Dr. Moffatt-Bruce has published over 100 papers and serves on many national committees including the National Quality Forum, The Society of Thoracic Surgery and America’s Essential Hospital Research Institute. She is a practicing Thoracic Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience.
